Maranatha is a local, non-denominational church. We are independent (though not independent of strong fellowship with many local churches). We are self-governing by ordained pastors and elders and we are Christ-centered.
Maranatha is a word-oriented church. The Bible? We believe it! All of it! And we’re committed to preach and live it by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Maranatha is a worshiping church. "He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord" (Psalm 40:3). We join with David in Psalm 103, "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name." "The joy of the Lord is our strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).
Maranatha is a family-oriented church. We desire to see your own family mature, as well as all of us together, as one family in Christ. Paul said to "treat the older men as fathers, the young men as brothers, and the older women as mothers. Treat the younger women as sisters, in all purity" (I Timothy 5:1-2).
Maranatha’s direction and goal: "As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love" (Ephesians 4:14-16).
